This product is like a collar stay, except it is 8 inches long and it goes in the front of the shirt where the buttons and holes are. There are always 2 layers of fabric, so it is a perfect place to hide our placket stays. This simple alteration will take about 5 minutes and can be done by anyone with basic sewing skills, like a local tailor, dry-cleaner, or even your mom. Perfect Placket works in all collared shirts. You can still button all the way up and wear a tie if you ever need to.

Installation is as easy as 1-2-3

Unhem a few stitches where the placket meets the collar band.Insert Perfect Placket between the layers of the placket and any interfacing.Sew the hem back together being sure to only penetrate the stay with 2-3 stitches max.

Each side will take just a couple of minutes. Once the stays are installed properly, they will last the life of your shirt. You never have to worry about forgetting to put them in.

Our stays are highly-engineered. As simple as they look when you get them, they were a 3-year passion project. When makes the material so unique is the counter-acting features. The stays are soft enough to be sewn through, yet rigid enough to support the weight of the collar. They are very flexible and lightweight, so you won’t even notice them in your shirt. The biggest feat, they are high-heat reisitant to nearly double the temperature that is used in the laundering process at your local dry-cleaner.

We’ve put together a 3-pack so you can test Perfect Placket in 3 of your shirts at a time. Drop these instructions off when you get to the cleaner and ask them to sew these in. Most places charge around $10/shirt for the installation since it is so simple.

No Special Care Necessary

Perfect Placket was designed for everyone. No matter how you clean your clothes. Wash/Dry and Iron or Dry-Cleaner. You can throw your shirt into a ball and wash it in a week if you want. The only thing we suggest is to button the top 3 buttons and hang your shirts right out of the dryer, while they are still warm. This will allow the stay to cool, straight, and be perfect when you go to wear it.
